Nordic Fire Festival 2026
Nordic Fire Festival is an outdoor, winter festival in Charlotte, Michigan.This year was the year of the world snake, and first ever Julebukk (pronounced; Yule-Bock) burning on Sunday. With the yearly burning of the viking ship on Friday the weekend kicked off hot with vendors, a mead hall with stage performers all around. Blixunami the Geechee Mermaid performed at the Pirates and Mermaid Festival in Oscoda before the world record was set for the most merpeople to gather in one place on Oscoda beach. 500 merpeople gathered for the occasion and set the record straight, and Blix was there to kick off the occasion and perform his first stage set. (2025)Blixunami has been seen on Tosh.O as well as well as the Netflix special "Merpeople." Featured in the Netflix show is his music video, "Splish Splash on 'Em" which was filmed at the Afro Mermaid Summit. See the music video here:
